Biggest Loser Evictee Happy Despite Exit
Despite his exit on the hit reality weight-loss show, The Biggest Loser, 30-year-old James Crutchfield was still happy. As it would seem, James was rather happy with his weight loss despite being the first contestant eliminated from the show. When he first weighed-in, James tipped at 485 pounds. Since then, he has lost 75 pounds, and almost out of the 400-pound range.
“I actually learned a lot and I realized all I needed was a jump start," James shares his insights. He adds that the show gave him the confidence and the much-needed push to start a healthier lifestyle.
James relates that his downfall was greatly attributed to the meals that he ate. Majority of his meals come from fast food chains. But now, he’s a changed man. His diet consists of healthy servings of chicken and fish – mostly steamed and stir fried. In addition, he whips an omelet for breakfast.
James gives his advice to those people who want to start a healthy lifestyle: “Don’t procrastinate.”
“It can be done and that's what The Biggest Loser tries to show people is [sic] that anybody can lose weight; they don't have to take more drastic measures. Just start now,” James points out in an interview.
James also shares that joining The Biggest Loser was initially his wife’s idea. “She kept trying to get me on it, and I was just like, 'No, the only thing that's going to work for me is gastric bypass.' [But] She was able to change my mind," he narrates.
Then, James got a call from one of the show’s trainers telling him that he and his twin brother John made it on the show. "We got a call from Bob saying we made it on the show,” he further quips.
